My name is Lucretia King, and I am a dreamer, a traveler, and a creative spirit.

My mission in life is to encourage others to live out their dreams (no matter how big or small), explore the world around them (near and far), and embrace the guiding spirit within them (fully and wholeheartedly) to live to their highest potential.

True to self, I have often chosen the road less traveled to see the world and meet people beyond my eastern North Carolina birthplace.  My journeys have taken me from one shore of this continent to the other, around the world to places like South Korea, New Zealand, and Egypt, then home again. Similarly, my work experiences range from being a Medicare counselor and ESL instructor to serving in AmeriCorps as a Habitat for Humanity volunteer and in the United States Air Force as a weather specialist.

When I’m not updating this blog, you can find me all over the place – window shopping, homemaking, cruising country roads, or simply sitting in a cafe observing life around me.  Starting and keeping this online journal has been just one of many ways since January 2015 I’ve determined to change my small world and, in turn, the world at large – one MLK (Ms. Lucretia King) dream at a time!

  1. I absolutely love your determination just as I love you. I believe that God is going to use you to change the world. Remember to always put God first in your life and if whatever you desire is according to His will, it’s already yours. I love you, I believe in you and you will forever be my “Miss Minnie”!
